Hee the women above is someone I have to admire. Her name is Jackie Pullinger. What makes her special is what she has been doing for the past 40 years. She is a remarkable person. Her job is to serve and minister to the poor in Hong Kong. Who will be willing to sacrifice her beauty, her time, her money, even her comfort zone and to move to a dark, coldly street to stay with the poor, the drug addicts etc? She did all that. For most of the women, having good husband, obedience child, good pay job etc is the kind of lifestyle they are aiming for. But Jackie Pullinger makes her story different from other. She runs a different race. I think she might not realize how much she has impact on people’s life. But I agree with one thing she say,” How you share Christ to people? Just be like Jesus to them!”. “ How to be like Christ to them? Blessed them with clothes if they need, be there for them, take care of them.” I think that’s what the bible says as well. We might not know as we serve other we might be serving one of his angels.
Hee after listening to her conference, I ponder will I be able to be like her? Am I willing to be like her- to minister to the poor? I think I am not that noble. But I do have a calling and I have to run my race. Hee during the conference, I thank God for his grace. Not only did he give me the peace and comfort during my stressful fyp days, he also blesses me with strength to carry on. Thank God. Thank Him even give me opportunity for the very first time to pray for those who want to speak in tongue. =] (And the person did it.) Anyway, I also find Dr Jackie her very cute and unique personality. These are the things I found out about her.
