Today i could like to share my learning of Psl 16 to everyone who is reading my post..Psl 16 ...

Psalm 16

1.Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust.
2.O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3.but to the saints that are in the earth,
and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4.Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god:
their drink offerings of blood will I not offer,
nor take up their names into my lips.
5.The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup:
thou maintainest my lot.
6.The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places;
yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7.I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel:
my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8.I have set the LORD always before me:
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9.Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth:
my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10.For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; 1 Cor. 15.4
neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Acts 13.35
11.Thou wilt show me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy; Acts 2.25-28
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Notice that i bold two verses in psalm 16. At first, it was just a normal verses for me in (psl 16:8-9). However,if you meditate on this verses carefully, it can be an important application towards life. I get my understanding from a devotion written by our chinese pastor. He explain what this two verses means and relate to life.

"I have set the lord always before me.."if the lord is first in your heart and mind..if he is place ahead of everything ( be it worry, concern, wealth and health..)
" he is at your right hand.. I shall not be moved. " why at the right hand? simply because in the past when isarelites go on war, they will bring a shield on their left hand and a sword at the right. this means that our right hand is vulnerable to any attack. if the lord is at your right hand, he will be the "shield" to protect you. This means that in life we are attack by satan especially in our weak point..( our weak point can be being timid, not knowing how to handle emotion..health and etc) allowing the lord to be "in front of" or to place the lord at our weak point, we can be protect against any harm or attack( since satan do know our weak point, we need the lord to protect us..)in our weakness, we find strength from the lord..in our weakness, GOd's grace and protection is given to us.


"Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoice,my flesh also shall rest in hope...."three important element of a human being - body(flesh), heart and soul(glory)is mention in this verse..the lord know the important element in us and it is only when we choose to set the lord ALWAYS BEFORE us ..then our heart will be glad, our soul wil rejoice and body to be healthy and secure..we know that if the lord is not in the central or the first place in our life, we can be easily attack by our enemy that's why we don't feel peace, we get sick, joy is based on circumstance and our heart is empty and not contend.
