Psalm 30

I will exalt you, O Lord,
for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
O Lord my God, I called to you for help
and you healed me.
O Lord, you brought me up from the grave;
you spared me from going down into the pit.
Sing to the Lord, you saints of his;
praise his holy name.
For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
Weeping may remain for a night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning
When I felt secure, I said
“I will never be shaken.”
O Lord, when you favored me,
you made my mountain stand firm;
I was dismayed.
To you O Lord, I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy:
“What gain is there in my destruction,
in my going down into the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me;
O Lord, be my help.”
You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and
clothed me with joy
that my heart may sing to you and not
be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give you
thanks forever.

It’s a long and affirming poem in Psl 30.

“O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me” v2. Recently, was rather upset with my health problem. I guess I have not been taking good care of myself..so I get sick again..got to go check up on mon and prayer hard that everything’s gonna be ok.. This verse reminded me to trust in the Lord and to call to Him for help during this difficult time believing that He will bring me out of the darkness and healed me. Thanks all my friends and spiritual sisters for their concern..I will continue to pray to get better.

“For his anger lasts only a moment,but his favor lasts a lifetime;” v5. “Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” v5This verse reminded me of God’s mercy and grace…remind me of the song “amazing grace”.. Indeed God’s love and mercy is so much bigger than what I can imagine. I was think that God has been angry and disappointed with me times and times of my sins…but I get his affirmation once again that he loves me no matter what I have done. And Dr Gary has affirm me of God’s love for me too..Hmm I don’t know what to say..But be thanksful of His love and mercy for me when I don’t deserve it…

Just wanna share what I read in the Chinese version psalm and in the devotional book:
“有時遇見苦難如同大波浪，有時優愁丧胆几乎绝望，若把主的恩典从头数一数，必能叫你立时惊讶乐欢呼。” think about the times where God has bring miracle, grace and even forgiveness to you..when times are bad and you almost wanted to give up, think of the miracle that God has give you. You will be amazed and even affirm of his great power and this will indeed give you strength to pull through all hardship.. So when we experience or feel fearful of things, when we recalled how God has save and help us, we will not be afraid of darkness, we will indeed know that He is our source of help and comfort. In my difficult times right now, I hope that Lord, I will remember how much you have help me the last time and continue to hope and trust in you.

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy”v11. Indeed when we count the blessing and grace that God has given to us, and to trust in him in the very low moment, we can turn wailing into dancing and remove the sackcloth not being the slave of sickness, of money of the worldly desire but c;othed with joy , peace and contend. Sometime when we desire or expect much things in life, we live a life pursing things and not enjoying the moment..if you run ahead of the time, you will miss a certain period of it.. In a right time you will know what is the most important thing in life..it will no longer be what you have desire in the past..
