Last sunday sermon and altar call was really a touching one.. I like one of the song "A heart of worship"..indeed God does not want offering or scarifice but a heart of brokeness..indeed do not let sunday be a "flawless performance" ..We don't be a "sunday" christian ..I think this do reminded me of my walk with the Lord.. I must admit that i need God to create a pure heart..a heart that is after his Him..Help me God to be deeper in love with you...Let me do not shift from the left or the right..but to you God..help me...this is my cry..my one desire...is to be with you everyday of my life...closer and closer..hold me God n please don't let me go...change me..i want the world to know...fill my heart and make me clean..even though sometimes your ways i cannot understand..but i serve a God who is faithful and true and i will hide in the shelter of your wings...Lord consume me from the inside out as Lord i give you my heart and give you my soul..Lord even when the ocean rise and thunder roar, you will soar with me above the storm, you are the shepherd of my heart,so lord i pray you will take me deeper in love with you. Amen..
Well,i receive a mail from li wee about the 40 days prayer from precious moment yup..I must admit and repent for not being obedient in fasting.. Lord forgive me...=]
Before beginning his ministry, Jesus spent 40 days fasting and praying in the wilderness and was tempted by Satan. For Him it was a time of contemplation, reflection, and preparation. During the Lenten season, we have a chance to take some time ourselves to contemplate and reflect on our walk with the Lord, and prepare ourselves for what He has planned for us.
Lent, a season of prayer and fasting, begins 40 days before Easter (different churches may calculate the days differently) and is marked by Ash Wednesday. Ashes are a symbol of penance or mourning and they help can believers develop a spirit of humility and sacrifice. Biblical examples of the use of ashes are found in Esther 4, Job 42, and Daniel 9.
Although not all faiths observe the Lenten season, all believers can benefit from a time of contemplation, reflection, and preparation. As part of that, fasting--abstention from food, or any other temptation-- sacrificially giving something up for God may help believers to focus more on the Lord, what He is doing in their lives, and what one can, in turn, do for Him.
Everytime you want to do the something you sacrificed, you can think of that promise you made to God, and be reminded of the sacrifice Jesus made for you at Calvary.

But when you fast, perfume your head and wash your face, So that your fasting may not be noticed by men but by your Father, Who sees in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.
